"Whodaguy" Ron Jacobs was born in Waikiki. He became a professional disc jockey in the 1950s and was morning personality at KPOI Radio, Hawaii's first rock station. RJ guided outlets in five California cities to the #1 spot, most notably KHJ "Boss Radio" in L.A. With Casey Kasem, he created American Top 40, along with other globally broadcast shows. Jacobs has appeared on stage locally, hosted the state's first "magazine format" TV show, written and published books plus many magazine columns and features. In the 1990s he directed the reborn "Hawaii Calls" program. RJ produced records on the mainland and Hawaii, where he received a Hoku the first year of the awards.

14 year old Allison recorded her first CD at the age of 8 "Let there Be Peace On Earth". This CD went on to win the 2002 Hawaii Music Award for best children’s album. Her follow up CD "Mele Kalikimaka" recieved a final ballot nomination in the 2003 Na Hoku Hano Awards making her the youngest final ballot nominee ever at age 9. In 2004 her CD "The Story Of Hula" with Auntie Noelani Mahoe won the Hawaii Music Award for best Children’s album. In 2005 she released a Christmas Single "Rainbow Christmas Day". Allison is a member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and has been a voting member in the Grammy’s since 2004.
