Video Clips

If you wish to show a video clip representing yourself or your event (which is very important to the segment), understand that it will be edited to about one minute. YOU MUST GET CLIPS TO US FIVE DAYS (WEDNESDAY PREVIOUS) PRIOR TO TAPING, to be setup on file. This allows ample preparation time. We would like to make YOU shine! Please help us, help YOU by following our requirement. Video clips submitted on the day of taping will NOT be used.

Acceptable formats: mini-DV/DV-CAM, BETA SP, and DVD

It would be best to hand deliver your video to Lewis Communications. They are located in the EATON SQUARE Business Plaza, above First Hawaiian Bank. You can drop it with your name, showdate information and editing instructions to:

Photos (Headshots & Group pictures for Show & Website)

Along with your video, we would like to promote YOU on our website. Please submit a HEADSHOT (see Danny Couch example). The photo will be used in this section COMING TO THE NIGHTTIME STAGE. Ideal image size is 600 x 800 and anything smaller will result in high pixelation and may not be used. Group shots (2 or more), CD/DVD covers will be used as is. In addition, we can help you promote your "plug" from your segment here: STUFF LEFT BEHIND. It’s a space that is available. Please take notice of the size. We can include text or graphics. The dimension for the graphic shall not exceed 525 x 90. You can provide links to whatever is related, or post more information about yourself. This will be offered ONE TIME ONLY, and material (graphics/text) needs to be turned in by the following Tuesday (day after taping) by 5pm. Due to the number of requests, the deadline is absolute. The Webmaster is allotting a total of 5 minutes to create the layout and display the contents. Anything perceived that will take longer will be passed on. The intent here is to create more content but not be compromised in time to do so. Hopefully, you may be able to take advantage of it and it’s FREE.

Enter the Showroom from the Backstage Entrance
For Musicians with equipment, Richard Natto, our Nighttime band leader, will contact you prior to your appearance. Musicians are asked to please enter the main showroom via the service doors located on the mauka side of the main showroom doors, so as to not disturb taping in progress! This will ensure that there are no unnecessary delays in the production. Mahalo for your kokua!

Check in with Irwin, or Sherry
We would like to know that you are present. In addition, we also need you to sign the appearance "release/clearance" form.

Relax and Get Comfortable
Settling in is a must, it helps you get the butterflies out, and allows you to absorb what's going on. You can also chat with the crew and Andy.

Plan to stay for 2 hours
The crew at "NightTime" does their best to stick with the schedule. However, there are times that a guest may take longer than needed, or equipment may malfunction...basically, anything that can slow the tapings down will put the production behind schedule. It's not our practice to do this, however, it does happen. So the general rule is to plan to stay for 2 hours.
